It is written that long ago, before Dwarf, Elf or Man walked The One Land, a great catastrophe ocurred. The Dun'Goro'Auth, or "The falling of the Heavens," marked the end of the Age of Serenity. The celestial bringer of doom was a remnabt of anti-substance... a rock that had wandered the stars since the birth of existence when substance and an ti-substance battled for dominion. so colossal was the explosion that it tore open a rift into a realm of higher beings. Hence came Agothorathies: The Child God. The ancestors of the Dwarves arose from the earth shortly there after. They would rebuild mountains, ravines and cliffs. The ancient Elves emerged from the remaining trees. It fell upon them to raise forests and nurture new plant growth. It was Agothorathies will... and so came to pass the Age of Reconstruction.

The Age of the Great Wizards followed. Three Wizards embodying the natural balance of nature. They turned the Elves and Dwarves into what they are today, and created a hideous hybrid from the two: Goblins. Then came war! In the Great War of the Wizards the Elder races became their battle pawns. They fought for ages until the Wizards finally destroyed one another. And the Elder races were truely free; but the war had bred animosity into them. The Race War tha t erupted later had profound effects on all the Elder races.

The new age has come. With the Eldser races all but gone, a new ambitous race has arisen: Man. Recored here are the final days of the Dwarves and their last and greatest stringhold and king... Herein, behold, the tales of the Korthian Hold.

Goblins of The One Land.

SUMMARY

KRAE is a fantasy epic set in an ancient world known as The One Land. Nearly one hundred and forty years after the Race War and over a thousand years since the conclusion of the Twelve-Hundred Year Struggle, the Dwarf Kings and Elf Lords toil to survive in a world that has all but forgotten the Elder Races.

Far south of their ancestral homes, surrounded by lush forest and backed by an acrid plain, remnants of the Dwarves dwell in seclusion within the Korthian Mountains. Having found relative peace for nearly 200 years, this last stronghold of the Dwarf p eople comes under siege; it is the goblins, reunited and driven to extinguish their rivals by the rebirth of the Dark Lord: the Black Wizard.

With the Elves protected by their forest magicks and entering the “Sleep” where they join with the ancient trees, and with Man, who is new to the world and absorbed in petty civil wars, it falls upon the Dwarves to lead the fruits of rebellion against the encroaching chaos. Krae’s quest leads him to discover the Two Swords, the brilliant weapons used to strike down the Wizard ages ago, and the Jade Sphere, an ageless gem said to hold the power of ancient gods from a world before.
